Attorneys General United in Fighting Human Trafficking

Washington State Attorney General and recently-elected President of the National Association of Attorney Generals (NAAG), Rob McKenna, recently named human trafficking as NAAG's issue of the year. Under NAAG’s initiative, Pillars of Hope, McKenna hopes to push the issue of human trafficking into nationwide recognition.

Liberty University Cooks Up Some Big Ideas

The Helms School of Government at Liberty University hosted a week long event known as Liberty Abolishing Slavery week dedicated to educating their students about human trafficking.  The event was well attended by students from a variety of majors and interests, while speakers provided lectures, Q&A, as well as personal guidance for those who took a particular interest in dedicating time to eradicating human trafficking from around the world.

Vigilante Journalism Exposes Planned Parenthood

Planned ParenthoodOn February 1, 2011 a Planned Parenthood sting video was released by Live Action, a pro-life group known for its investigative journalism.  The video showed the Planned Parenthood clinic manager explaining tactics to evade mandatory reporting laws, directing the traffickers to an abortion clinic that will ask fewer questions and giving them tips on how to receive cheaper birth control.
