When “Good Enough” is not Enough | The Protected Innocence Challenge

In December 2011, Shared Hope International released a Protected Innocence Challenge Report Card for every state grading the framework of laws addressing the crime of domestic minor sex trafficking and the protections afforded to its victims. Not a single state earned an A. In fact, over half received failing grades. The question was posed: since not one state received an A, why don’t you grade on a curve system? Liberty University Cooks Up Some Big Ideas

The Helms School of Government at Liberty University hosted a week long event known as Liberty Abolishing Slavery week dedicated to educating their students about human trafficking.  The event was well attended by students from a variety of majors and interests, while speakers provided lectures, Q&A, as well as personal guidance for those who took a particular interest in dedicating time to eradicating human trafficking from around the world.
