End DEMAND

Taking a Stand to Fight Sex Trafficking in America.

This horrifying reality has motivated us to stand up and shout the truth about child sex trafficking in America. And we need your help! We are launching our End Demand Kids are NOT for Sale Awareness Campaign and your involvement is crucial to its success.

Take the challenge and join our efforts as we fight to End Demand!

Our three year investigative research, conducted with more than 325 interviews of first responders and survivors in 10 U.S. locations proves that American children are indeed for sale – right here in the United States.

SHARED HOPE INTERNATIONAL : LOST INNOCENCE VIGIL

When?
Starting June 2009, vigils for lost innocence will take place each month for the rest of the year.

How? Host an event at your home, church or school with free materials & information provided by Shared Hope International.

Who’s in charge? You are! Gather your friends, neighbors and colleagues. We’ll also connect you with other SHI supporters in your area. Together, you can make a difference!

Where? Anywhere that will host your group: schools, churches, homes, etc.

What will you need? A dvd player, candles, a big sign that says your city’s name, matching red shirts, and a video camera.

What do you do? Share the documentary we provide, pass out the fact sheets, and then host your own candlelight vigil to remember the children whose lives were stolen through the sex trade. Video the event for Shared Hope.

Contact Elizabeth Scaife,
Project Coordinator,

Shared Hope International first actively addressed the sex trafficking of American children through research on the markets that create demand for commercial sex and which result in the commercial sexual exploitation of women and girls. The DEMAND. Project investigated buyers, facilitators, and traffickers in four countries: Jamaica, Japan, the Netherlands, and the United States. The startling findings revealed sex trafficking is demand-driven and the product for sale is commonly domestic (American) children. As a result of our extensive work to end sex trafficking, Shared Hope International was awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to perform field research on domestic minor sex trafficking - the commercial sexual exploitation of American children in the United States.
