Let me bring you up to date on what is happening through The Defenders USA. In June of this year track we added a track for The Defenders USA to our awareness training. About 25 men attended the session an about 20 men signed The Defender USA pledge. As a direct result from that meeting, Overcomer’s Covenant Church in Auburn, Washington focused their September 29th mid-week service on Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking and about 60 joined The Defenders USA as a result of the pastor’s message.
We have a great deal of new gear with the defender’s logo and message. You might want to go to the store and check things out. Furthermore, we are developing a new membership card which will be available within the next four to six weeks.
A great deal of activity here at Shared Hope centers around our release of a report card on all 50 states plus Washington DC. The report card will give every state a letter grade A – F on their readiness to fight domestic minor sex trafficking. The report is to be released December 1, 2011 in San Antonio in cooperation with annual the National Association of State Attorneys General conference.
