Who We Are
The Defenders are men who have come to understand the marketplace of commercial sexual exploitation. Men who buy sex by the picture or act create the demand that results in the loss of innocence, resulting in the physical and psychological devastation of children and teens. As it is men who are the source of demand, it is men who must end demand.
We are men who responded to the startling findings in The National Report on Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking; that reveals that over 100,000 children are victimized through prostitution in America each year with the average age of entry just 13.
The Defenders' first step is to take a pledge to not purchase or participate in pornography, prostitution or any form of commercial sex.
We aim to mobilize at least 100,000 men to take the pledge, become Defenders, and commit their hearts, minds and resources in defense of our children. Can we afford to do less to protect
our kids?
Because men create the demand for prostituted kids, better men have to stop it. We are the better men.
